Want to cultivate mental well-being in these difficult times? Let’s take a break and join “Wednesday Pause”, a mindfulness meditation session performed via Zoom every Wednesday at 11:30 am, for free.

Presented by Kindermind Center, a social purpose organization, in collaboration with Singapore’s Kampung Admiralty, the 30-minute session aims to cultivate calm, inner peace and resilience. It is suitable for everyone without previous meditation experience and also for advanced practitioners.

Mindfulness is about awareness of the present moment without judgment and these sessions are based on the principles of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Approved by the National Health Service in England as an alternative treatment to antidepressants, MBCT is also helpful for anyone experiencing stress.

Non-religious practice will be taught by Noelle Lim, a mindfulness teacher trained at the Oxford Mindfulness Center, Department of Psychiatry, University of Oxford. She is also certified to teach 11-18 year olds through the UK Mindfulness in Schools Project, the leading provider of mindfulness training and materials for classrooms.

Participants will reset, restore and refresh mind and body, or just get a taste of mindfulness-based programs organized by the MBCT Specialized Teaching Center to deal with stress, exhaustion professional, bad mood, depression, anxiety and addiction.

He runs MBCT and general mindfulness programs for groups and one-on-one, as well as secular meditation sessions for those interested across the Asia-Pacific.
