HÀ NỘI – The government has approved a project to ensure good nutrition and improve the physical condition of students.
The project aims to promote student health and prevent cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, lung disease and bronchial asthma.
It aims for all education and vocational training institutions in the country to fully implement regulations on physical activity for students through key and extracurricular activities.
Each student should have at least one hour of physical exercise per day, as recommended by the World Health Organization.
The project will improve the understanding of good nutrition and appropriate physical activity for educators, teachers, students and parents, and educating them about its benefits.
He also plans to educate students about the dangers of tobacco. At least 80 percent of high school students and all college students will learn how to prevent the harmful effects of alcohol.
All employees working in school canteens will also be trained in good nutrition, hygiene and food safety.
All nursery, secondary and secondary schools will be required to monitor and assess the nutritional status of their students.
To achieve the objectives, the project proposes key solutions, including the completion of policies and mechanisms on school nutrition and physical activity in schools; strengthen the facilities and equipment to ensure nutrition, physical education and school sports activities; and strengthening the management of school nutrition and physical education. – VNS
