Meenal Maliramani, yoga teacher and founder of Energizer Yoga, explains how it can help get rid of inner turmoil. “You place a candle in front of you and the flame is at your eye level. Watch the flame for as long as you can and try not to blink. Tratak is a cleansing exercise, it cleanses your mind and avoids distractions, it helps you stay focused. It’s kind of a purification process that didn’t turn into meditation, ”she says.

This technique relies on concentration which ultimately brings you into a meditative state. “It also helps improve eyesight. It also gives you a sense of clarity in life and reduces the tendency to overthink. Practice this for 21 days, take a break for five days, and repeat for 21 days. Look at the flame, close your eyes and repeat this three times until the image forms in your eyes when you close it. Do this in the evening before going to bed. It also helps reduce eye strain, ”explains Meenal.

According to Ishrath, a yoga trainer, Tratak meditation is the most powerful technique for achieving Sadhak’s desire (aspiration). Vidhya Sagar, another fitness and meditation trainer, also explains how meditation helps us physically and mentally. “It helps heal spinal problems and improves our respiratory system. It refreshes the mind and helps us relax. Joint pain is also addressed when we sit with our legs bent. It also helps restore sleep cycles, ”Vidhya explains.
