Layer Design’s meditation helmet uses biomorphic patterns to elevate your state of mind

While most of us are stressed out all day, a tech-infused meditation headset for relaxation is a release we could all do very well with.

Life has become stressful in modern times with deadlines and other human induced factors pushing us to the limit of physiological and psychological disorders. Meditation is one thing that frees us from the cyclical patterns of daily struggles – instilling a new sense of excitement to live life to the fullest. When meditation is aided by sensory input, it’s bliss for the pineal gland!

Layer Design has once again demonstrated its talent for winning designs with the LightVision meditation headset designed for US tech startup Resonate. The headset is an array of LED lights that create a layer of magic in the user’s visual flow – literally transforming natural videos into a sequence of biomorphic patterns. Amazingly, these patterns are visible with closed eyes as the ever-changing kaleidoscope of footage creates sensory input. This triggers the brain’s “frequency tracking response” according to Layer Design.

The minimalist design headphones wrapped in a textile case sets a new priority for meditation regimens, whether in the morning or relaxing in the evening. The headset’s ergonomic shape rests comfortably around the face and eyes for a distraction-free, restful state of mind. The latter, as you know, is very difficult to achieve because the mind wanders into areas that you would otherwise not want it to. The entire design of the LightVision headset offers a tactile experience to take your meditation routine to the next level.

While a question still runs through my head: won’t the play of light and colors tire the eyes permanently or even daily? Won’t it juxtapose the very calm state of mind that he wants to achieve in the first place? If Layer Design solves these problems, this headset for Resonate could be the catalyst the stressed world needs!
