Hi all,

I've been reading a lot lately about kundalini and other spiritual topics, but decided to ask others about one specific experience. I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place though.
I did not know what kundalini was until 4-5 months ago and I never meditated, but I used to practice yoga deep breathing technique occasionally in everyday situations. Several months ago I tried to meditate on only few occasions, and what happens matches what I read about kundilini symptoms. A lot of it is happening (nothing that bothers me, except excessive loneliness), but long story short, I wanted to ask about some lights that I saw while falling asleep. (most of the strange things happen to me in sleep).

I laid down to take an afternoon nap, and I just remember seeing enormous mass of light shooting from somewhere. It was very pleasant pale yellow-almost white light. It was conical (as if it was coming from somewhere and dissipating), very very dense, especially closer to the center. It felt to me as if I was positioned about 30 degrees to the left side of the center line of that "cone". Together with yellowish light, there were other colored lights shooting randomly - not rays, but separate small masses. For some reason I accurately remember the shades of blue and pink, but cannot tell for sure what other colors were there.

I don't know what was happening... I wasn't asleep nor awake. There was loud rumbling in my ears, like physical vibrations in the ears (like what sometimes happens when you're yawning, only louder). And warmth, warmth, indescribable warmth and sweetness!! I somehow woke up after conscious confusion about what is happening.

Lights are mentioned very often on various websites, but I haven't found descriptions, nor thoughts on what they might be that I can relate to... (I am very confused about everything though after recent experiences!). I keep thinking about "where" that light might have been, and the fact that I was 'seeing' it slightly from the side makes me think it wasn't inside of me...

Did anyone have any similar experience? Any thoughts? At this point I don't know yet where to look for answers, and I guess there are so many things we are yet to find the answers for. I am not part of any spiritual community, so it's very confusing.

Everyone's had their say in this thread...but now it's developing into an argument and I don't think it makes a good impression on visitors.

So can't we just use a little common sense and wisdom and let the matter drop. We starting to behave like a bunch of bible/Buddha "bashers"...with K.

No exactly 'higher consciousness'... as I understand it.

Does the famous Moses has extra abilities? i am sure he has, that 'why he is being worshipped till now.  What if his extra abilities come from kundalini awakening and everyone actually can do what he does, seperate the Red Sea.
Just that not everyone has the key to unlock their natural ability.

So is Moses a human ?

How about the 17th karmapa, the Dalai Lama. The ancient Buddha Prince.  No abilities? Just a human being who can talk and sell faith ?
